I had to write a fairytale for my Narrative Writing class. 1-2 pages long, and today I had to read it in class.

The first half of it I got through just fine... but as soon as I got to the parts that were just a little bit funny, people in class started to giggle. Right as that happened I couldn't contain myself and I just burst out laughing. I struggled to read more since I kept giggling and laughing, even snorting a few times. Oh my gosh it got so bad I kept spitting as a spray (ew, I am sorry person next to me. LOL; ) and I was shaking badly, so I had to have someone else finish it for me. AHHHH.

One thing to know about me is I cry and laugh very easily. It is VERY hard for me to control. It just HAPPENSSSS. Laughing is a little better than crying, but that was still super embarrassing. xD My face felt so hot.

Here, have the story as well:

The Rock

By Sarah Williams

Once upon a time there was a magical rock. However, this rock looked like any other plain rock, but it could think. It wished so badly to be seen by the local prince who loved to walk up and down the hill this particular rock rested on. This was a very steep hill as well. Mind you, the rock was tiny on the surface, but was mostly stuck under ground, so it could not be moved.

“Oh, I so wish the prince would see how amazing I can be!” cried the little rock in its own mind. “All of the other creatures and things are clearly magical with their glittery parts and can interact with the prince! But I am just a lowly grey rock. I try and try but I can’t make anything magical happen, but I know I must be! I have thoughts after all! I must show him I, too, am magical!”

One day the prince was starting to walk down the rock’s hill. The rock ‘saw’ this and instantly knew this had to be the day that it showed the prince how magical it really was! The prince was slowly coming closer and closer and the rock became more and more anxious.
“I must do this! I can do this!” silently yelled the rock. It concentrated hard—very hard! The prince was coming closer! And closer! AHH HE’S RIGHT THERE!

“Don’t leave me! NOT AGAAAAIN!” the rock yelled out in a whisper, and then suddenly sparkles appeared above the rock.
“Huh?” the prince questioned, turning his head. Before he could even stop walking, a part of the rock suddenly grew super long and super fast looking like a pole, right in front of the prince’s feet. The prince couldn’t stop in time so he hit the rock-pole with his feet and fell forward. Down and down the prince tumbled until he came to a stop in a twisted mess.

            He dead.

The rock gasped for a moment, seeing what had happened.

“How could I have done this?! How evil of me! I must be punished! Whatever shall I do?? Ahhh . . . but at least now I’m magical!” it said with a sudden change of tune. The rock had a short moment of happiness before it realized nothing else was happening. No sparkles. No moving. The pole thing was still there, but that was about it. The magic had worn off and now it was back to being a normal rock.
“Noooooo!” the rock cried. It would now be that way for all eternity, never being able to become magical again, and most likely tripping other passerby’s to their fate.

Don’t wish too hard, kids. It’s not healthy. You might kill a prince.

            The End.

So yeaaaah. The point I started laughing and couldn't stop was when people started giggling before I read "he dead". They clearly read ahead. lol
It was fun, though, even if I feel really silly and embarrassed about it. My teacher/professor really liked it, so yay!
Now I have to write a song for next week. >3>
