Flint and a Child

I may or may not finish this. If I do, I'll move this sketch to scraps.

For the last two days I thought of more for Flint's personal story. I decided I wanted him to save a child, and for him to actually live with this child for at least a year.

Flint is usually a very mean/rude/cold character. Having a child to take care of like this will get him to soften up.

How I see this happening is this:

Flint ran away from his home because he couldn't stand living there any longer.
He's on his own for a while, maybe a few weeks.
One night a bad storm passes through. It causes the river to be rapid.
This child is somehow caught in the waves. Her parents may not have been paying attention.
She somehow survives going down river for quite a ways until she's caught on a branch of some sort.
Flint happened to be in the area. He hears her crying, but has a moment of thinking if he should even TRY to help, since he normally wouldn't care.
Something about her gets to him try to help. Though, with him not having arms that makes it difficult.
He may save her for a moment, but then they both get swept down the river.
He does eventually get them both out.
He's fed up with it and tries to get her to leave.
She somehow "talks" (cries) him into staying.
This then begins him taking care of her.

Over time he'll actually like her as if she's his own daughter.

Any adult human seeing them together could be horrible however, as he'd be considered a wild beast.

Then at some point her family or people who know her find her as well. Right now I dunno what they'd do to Flint, but I don't feel it would be good. Though maybe they'd be happy he kept her safe... I don't know!
Ahhh but this makes me happy. A cute relationship where it's not romantic or sexual for once. xD

Flint shall be protective of her. <3
